Advising and assisting in the preparation of suitable contract documentation, writing schedule of works, bills of quantities based on shorter method of measurement, employer’s requirements.
Reviewing and advising on contract documents prepared by the Developer’s team and clarifying the extent of the instruction and duties of the various parties.
Checking that all site investigations such as sub-soil reports, soil contamination, site drainage, potential archaeological issues etc, have been completed. Reviewing the reports and commenting on the findings, proposed solutions and forecasting potential cost implications.
Checking that all the necessary statutory consents are in place, in particular; Planning Approvals, Building Regulations Approvals, Listed Building Consents, Public Health Acts, Fire Authority Approvals.
Reviewing insurance arrangements made by the Developer or the Contractor.
Detailed evaluation of tenders and project cash flow forecasts.
Preparing cash flow forecasts against Contractor’s programme.
Review drawings, specifications, tender and/or contract documents, in support of the building contract.
